This privacy policy sets out how Stop Smoking London uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website.

Stop Smoking London is the public facing identity of a London wide Public Health Programme – The London Smoking Cessation Transformation Programme (LSCTP). The LSCTP is hosted by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council. Thirty –one London boroughs, excluding Harrow and Hillingdon, jointly commission and participate in the Programme which is now part of a broader stop smoking and tobacco control landscape that includes education, regulation and enforcement.

Our website www.stopsmokinglondon.com is hosted by Bloom and managed by Gardiner Richardson. Website users are invited to provide personal information (name and telephone number) to receive a call back from their chosen Stop Smoking Service. In addition to this information, website users can also provide their reason for quitting smoking and the day they intend to start their quit journey when electing for our automated text message support package.

Your personal information will be shared with external partners and agencies involved in delivering Stop Smoking Services across London and in participating boroughs.

This information will be held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (2016) and the Data Protection Act (2018). The Data Controllers Serco and suppliers delivering local Stop Smoking Services for participating London boroughs will ensure that the appropriate organisational and technical controls are used to make sure that your data is looked after.

Condition for processing personal data

It is necessary for us to process your personal data, under the GDPR for the performance of a public task. A delay in you providing the information requested may result in a delay in providing appropriate services.

How long do we keep your information?

We will only hold your information for as long as is required by law and to provide you with the necessary services. This is likely to be for 7 years. For further details, you can view our Retention Schedule.

We may also anonymise some personal data you provide to us to ensure that you cannot be identified and use this for statistical analysis of data to allow the Programme to effectively target and plan the provision of services.
